1. turnover = £80000+£20000 = £100000

labour costs = 42%of £100000 = £42000

labour costs per unit = 84 pence

weekly output = £42000 / 84

=50000 units

2. second store  -

cost = £45,000

revenue being £90000 - 0.8 = 90,000 x 0.8 = £72,00

revenue being £20000 - 0.2 = 20,000 x 0.2 = £4000

EV = 72000 + 4000 = £76000

Net gain = £76,000 - £45,000 = £31,000

Selling clothes online -

cost = £18000

revenue being £60000 - 0.7 = 60000 x 0.7 = £42000

revenue being £25,000 - 0.3 = 25000 x 0.3 = £7500

EV= 42000 + 7500 = £49500

Net gain = £49500 - £18000 = £31500

3. Firstly, i don't believe it is worth sacking the manager Graham Fryer because it would cost the football club an awful amount. Due to Fryer already having a long contract with the football could the team would have to pay him £10.5m if they sacked him. This means there is a loss for the football team which they don't need because as they are already facing relegation it means they are already losing out on money. If they keep the manager they do not have to pay any further costs. I believe they should work as a team to get back up. If the club get relegated it would cost them £100m whereas staying up would be worth £250m. That means there is a clear difference of £150m available if the team work together to figure out where they need to improve and the manager sort his managing skills out and prove that he is capable of his job. So, i believe they should keep the manager and work extra hard to get back on track.

4. Due to the consistency the employees are guaranteed a certain amount every week or month including bonuses. This allows the employees to feel more safe and stable within the job and offers them a better pay instead of just commission. Also, it is beneficial to the retailer because workers will feel more worthy and motivated to work harder meaning the retail will improve and it will show the employees and customers and they are loyal and that the retailer is treating their workers in the correct manner.

5. A benefit from performance related pay could be it may motivate employees to work harder and earn their money. This could mean that employees work hard enough to reach their full potential in order to get a good pay. This is a competitive way of paying employees so it will make employees want to gain ideas and maybe implement new things to beat their competitor. Also, it gives workers a feeling of being tied to the fortunes of the company making it easier to emphasise with cost cutting measures. IT can improve workers morale and loyalty if they feel as though their hard work is rewarded. It also provides an incentive to advance efficiency to achieve a higher ability and productivity. This improves motivation, determination and dynamism in the work place. Moreover, it also creates a strong bond between the company and the employees. The managers can use a defined framework for setting goals for individual employees showing them how they should improve and in what areas specifically. This allows Rachel's employees to know where they are going wrong and spend time on that and not waste any time on anything else so they are able to work around their day to day life as well as this job. PRP allows the contribution of an employee to be recognised and rewarded.
